“Pymlico” is my musical solo project. The music I write can be described as instrumental, progressive and symphonic rock. Melodic, but with a lot of different parts to each song.
I am very influenced by some great bands of the 70’s like Genesis, Focus, Kaipa and King Crimson, but also by many modern swedish progressive groups, such as The Flower Kings, Agents of mercy and Tomas Bodin’s instrumental albums.
I played the drums on every track and some keyboards and guitar. My brother Øyvind played hammond organ and keyboards. I am fortunate to have a lot of musical friends who were willing to help me with lead guitars, grand pianos, saxophones, bass guitars and so on.
The album is released on my own lable “Spider House Records”. The second album is already in the making. This time I am trying to get pretty much the same musicians on every track so it will be much more a real band feel.
